Cross Country in Seefeld

The Olympiaregion Seefeld is rightly proud of the regular top awards for the cross-country skiing offers. In 2010, the region was again chosen in 2nd place among the Top 3 cross-country skiing areas worldwide!

Sport and fun in the best conditions – that’s how the perfect cross-country day should be. Where would that be better possible than in a region that can boast the best prepared trails, a large variety of offers for every skiing style, and guaranteed snow until the end of March?
The Olympiaregion Seefeld cannot be stopped in its sprint to the top of the world’s Nordic centres. The perfectly maintained network of trails of the five plateau locations stretches across more than 279 km, with guaranteed snow until the end of March thanks to its altitude of around 1,200 m above sea level. The Olympiaregion Seefeld was chosen by the ADAC as one of the three best cross-country skiing areas in 2007 and 2009, and also in 2010. The DSV Ski Atlas awarded the region 1st place in the world in the category “Excellent Trails” as early as 2004 and 2005.

This formidable competence in underlined by top-class events such as the International Ganghoferlauf Leutasch (which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2010) or the Double Nordic Combined World Cup, which takes place every year in Seefeld.
